This group is in its 10th year of providing services and activities in Waikoloa Village. Its events and programs are available to seniors, age 55 and over.

The Senior Van to Kona departs from the Waikoloa Community Church parking lot at 9:00 a.m. on the 1st Tuesday of each month, transporting senior residents to various destinations for shopping, medical appointments, etc., in Kona. Return time to Waikoloa is approximately 2:00 p.m. Please be certain to call 883-2424 to reserve a seat on the van. If other transportation needs are required during the month, please call and arrangements will be made.

The Monthly Senior Meeting is held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the WVA Community Room. A guest speaker presenting topics of local interest is normally scheduled, and County representatives are on hand. Breakfast is served during the meeting. All are invited.

The Senior Center also sponsors a monthly outing as time and attendance permit. The Seniors also volunteer at activities and events that contribute to a variety of community organizations. For example, the hugely successful School Supply Drive represents the 8th year in which the Senior Center has assisted at the Elementary School. The currently on-going Senior Nutrition Program, operated under the auspices of the Hawaii Island Food Bank, brings fresh produce weekly to participating senior residents in the Village.
