JoAnna Wyss, Social Worker from the North Hawaii Hospice, is available to assist with community bereavement issues in North Hawaii, providing information and support to those in need. JoAnna also works with local schools, recently spending time with a kindergarten class following the loss of a classmate, as well as meeting with teenagers from the YWCA in Honoka’a for an evening of information and support for teen bereavement. The widows bereavement group meets at 3:30 p.m. every Monday at the Hospice Office located at 65-1328 Kawaihae Road. They are tremendously helpful and welcoming to newcomers joining them.
