10 Candidates Run for 5 Positions on the Board of Directors

The following owner-members have filed to run for the five (5) seats on the Board of Directors for the 2010 election: Bill Campbell, Lonnie Cole, Mike Fischer, Barbara Funk, Zack Kennedy, Harland Kroll, Shawn Lathrop, Kim Longeteig, Roxanne Lumanlan, and Victor Morris. There are (3) 3-year terms, (1) 2-year term, and (1) 1-year term.

Each candidate submitted a statement pertaining to his/her self-nomination to the Nominating and Elections Committee by the prescribed deadline. Their statements were limited to 100 words. Attached are the statements and resumes the candidates submitted. Owners will have an opportunity to hear the candidates in person at the Candidates Forum scheduled for 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday, March 18, at Spikes Waikoloa Clubhouse.

The deadline for self-nominating to be on the ballot as a candidate for the Board of Directors has closed. However, WVA owners in good standing who are interested in running for one of the 5 positions up for election can still qualify to be on the ballot. Members may create a petition and have it signed by at least 50 WVA members and turn it in to the Secretary of the Board, Roxanne Lumanlan, or NEC Chair Margaret Tigue by February 24, which is 45 days prior to the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting of the Waikoloa Village Association will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Spikes Waikoloa Clubhouse restaurant at 10am.
