At last! West Hawaii Community Health Center will open on Monday, February 25, 2013, bringing quality health care to the men, women and children in the Villages of Waikoloa and guests of the nearby hotels. It has been a long wait for the proper certifications and approvals to open a community health center in this rural town, and we appreciate your patience and support along the way. Dr. Rob Edmonds has joined the staff of West Hawaii Community Health Center, and will provide primary health care services at Waikoloa. Receiving his MD from the University of British Columbia, Canada, where he also completed his residency, Dr. Edmonds spent ten years in private practice. He arrived in Hawaii with his wife and two sons, and enjoys snorkeling, running and hiking. Dr. Edmonds is also conversational in Spanish. West Hawaii Community Health Center provides quality, integrated health care to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
